Interface Typeface is an exploration of performance-based typography as a means for togetherness in times of social distancing.
It’s achieved by misusing the virtual background on Zoom in such a way that it swallows parts of the body like an invisibility cloak, and encouraging participants to align limbs to form virtually continuous shapes.
This work was developed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been a starting point for online remote workshops in collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire in England, lead from Montreal.
